PTFA

Parents, Teachers and Friends Association (PTFA)

All parents and staff at Castle Cary Primary School are members of the PTFA, which exists to promote a sense of community and raise funds for additional school resources and activities. At its AGM each September, a group of volunteers agree to run the PTFA and parents are encouraged to help and support its functions. The money raised always benefits the children and parents are kept informed about PTFA events and how the money raised is spent.

Over the last couple of years, the PTFA has paid for:

  • Our House Reward System

  • New class IPads

  • Reading books

  • Resources for EYFS

  • Year 6 leavers celebration - a bouncy castle and picnic

  • Year 6 Ice cream van on their last day

What is the PTFA?

The Parents, Teachers and Friends Association

In short anyone who has a link with the school! We are a registered charity with the aim of furthering the education of pupils by providing facilities, equipment and activities not normally provided for within the school budget.

What do we do?

All sorts!

We organise big fundraisers and also a variety of smaller fundraisers that are enjoyable to all. We also run a school lottery with weekly cash prizes.

How often do we meet?

We meet once or twice a term, but there is no need to come to all the meetings in order to be involved.

How can you help?

If you think you might be able to help in any way at all, please contact the school and a member of the PTFA will contact you.
